The Saints finished the season with the 2nd best offense during the regular season. The big contributors were Landon Donovan, Jeff Cunningham, Freddy Ljundberg, and David Ferriera. (Ferriera would end up being named the Best Forward in the league for the season). In the playoffs the Saints would lose 4-2 in the Semifinals. Then in Majors Cup the Saints advanced all the way to the Championship only to lose to FC Dallas 5-3 in the Final.
