Great players play for Superclub's

The reason Gateway United is destined to be the premiere franchise in the BSL is because of its committment having the best players. So far Gateway United has spinned its wheels to bring back its talent. The talent that guided the Saints to 12 wins in 2009. Now its time to release plans to guide the Saints into the next evolution of its premiership. Please welcome Julian de Guzman to the greatest team in the BSL.

de Guzman walks to the podium and holds up the Gateway kit. lightbulbs are flashing as the press eats it up. Now he speaks.................

Why is the club so excited about their 3rd round pick. De Guzman is Toronto's designated player and will have DeRosario to assist him in the attack. If he doesn't score a ton of goals then Toronto is going to stink again and I don't think they are going to stink.

Saints happy to have Ljundberg return

PRESS RELEASE
Another player that performed well for the Saints in 2009 is coming back. Fredrick Ljundberg will be wearing the green jersey again. He may not score the most goals in this part of his career but he was and hopefully is still capable of the great pass and can pick up the assist. In a press release Gateway United said "We are pleased to have been able to keep our core group of players intact again for another season. We regret we were unable to also maintain Conor Casey but we have our other fine players and look forward to them contributing as they did before. Gateway United doesn't just want to return to the playoffs and Majors Cup again. Gateway United wants to win these trophy's. It all starts with these players."

Cunningham will wear green again

This was a hard decision, but Gateway United has decided to reward Jeff Cunningham for all the points he got the team in 2009 by putting him on the team once again. He was a big part of the great second half the team had and played well in the Majors Cup too. If Cunningham can do what he did in 2009 again its going to be a very good year.

The Saints are ready and prepared

Okay the teams that had DP's or traded their DP's did so and now we can focus on the actual draft. The question over here in this front office is when Union S.C. is going to announce the first pick. Will it be March 1st or will an announcement come early? Gateway United is prepared to give a selection at any time afterwards.

Gateway United and new inter city rivals St. Louis Cure met for a practice run. Scoring was Cunningham, Ljundberg, de Guzman, and Pappa.

Opening day is going to be war

The excitement is building as we get closer to drafting some new players and maybe some old players too. Hopes are very high here for Gateway United that this could be the year the team wins a championship. The first team in the way of the dream is going to be Gold Coast. Its going to be a war.
