Week 4

Losing 4-1 to Orange County in week 3 Gateway United dropped to 8th place in the BSL standings. The Saints manager will look to ignite a change in the clubs fortunes by signing Quincy Amarikwa to a contract and releasing Walter Martinez. Also announced is the club will be benching Sean Johnson and putting Jon Busch in the starting lineup. The real issue is several key players have yet to score on the season. The players are due and the manager is urging for patience from the fans. "The last thing this club wants to do is release a player to quickly."

Week 3

In week 2 of the 2014 BSL season, Gateway United played to a 1-1 draw against Second City Soccer Club. The result was acceptable giving the Saints a point in the standings, but the score was not. The expectation is to be one of the leading offenses in the league and that means depth and consistency. In week 3 Gateway United will play Orange County, a club that is sitting on 3 points at the moment. It should be a good challenge as the OC has many good players that are capable of scoring.

Week 1

Gateway United
vs Ohio

Preview
It was a long offseason for the Saints. too long!!! With no playoffs or Majors Cup the men in green had an extra 7 weeks off in 2013. "That is not what is expected for this club. The bar has always been set high over here and the expectations were not met." An aggressive offseason and draft has set the stage. First up for the new season is the a new Ohio team which will learn fast what it is to play Gateway United. "I think Mr. T said it best in Rocky III when asked what to expect..... PAIN.....and that is what Ohio can expect."

Game Captain
The Captain's armband for this match will go to Darrington Nagbe.  Look for him to get off to a strong start and open up the year with a point.
