Nagbe Made DP After Acquisition

Gateway United announced to its supporters today the club has completed a trade to acquire Darlington Nagbe from the BSL Champion Flyers. The young and talented forward came at the steep price tag of a 2nd round draft pick. "The Saints believe in Nagbe. He is entering his third year in the professional ranks and has shown maturity along the way. In addition he is being re-united with Caleb Porter and the belief is he will rise to stardom under the new system." With the trade complete, Nagbe officially has been placed as a Saints designated player.


Enter the New Year

Happy New Year! The calender has flipped to 2013 and in a few more weeks the BSL Designated Player deadline will be here. Players will begin reporting to training camps January 15th across the US and preseason scrimages will begin shortly after. Gateway United has been actively evaluating the soccer boards to see the current moves in both the MLS and the BSL.
Gateway United will begin the upcoming season against Spartans 1612 from New York on March 2nd. Last season both meetings against the Spartans ended in 3-3 draws.
