PRESS RELEASE-After a very busy schedule Landon Donovan has decided to get some much needed rest and is not going to go out on loan to England. He has stated his intentions to be ready on day 1 for the 2011 season. "This is great news. Landon looked tired after returning from the World Cup and has been playing non stop for about 2 years. The rest should give him his legs back and have him primed to bring a championship to Gateway United" said the Saints manager.

Now that all the loan rumors have been put to rest, Gateway United can announce Landon Donovan as a Designated Player again. This will keep the capitain with the club for his 3rd season.
